Hanwood began the tradition of heart warming Shiraz wines from the sun drenched Riverina. A splendid drink that never dates, smooth tannins and controlled oak underpin a gazzette of bright, mouthfiilling fruits, plum, pepper, cherry and dates, before a clean, stylish finish.
From Victoria's
Rutherglen
Plush palate of dark berries, bitter chocolate, vegemite and earth, an assertive purpley wine that's content to be typecast for it's epic tannins, gripping your palate like the legs of a lithe and licentious, fruit smeared dancer.
From South Australia's
McLaren Vale
Fully captivating, intense palate, a riveting shiraz of eminence and style.
From South Australia's
McLaren Vale
Sweet grapey tannins, marvelously flavoursome, currants, licorice and French oak, forward drinking and hell-bent (inasmuch as clergy can get) on gratifying the senses and assuaging the desires. A lozenge of pure, clean fruit, they don't do things in half measures on Chapel Hill.
From Western Australia's
Margaret River
Seductive for it's supple fragrances and plump fruit, a synergy between the coffee oak and nutty tannins, a veritable fruit bar of delicious flavours.

A pure and clean cabernet wine, offering excellent varietal definition on a softly, softly fruit driven palate supported by crisp young tannins and rich mineral textures.
From New South Wales's
In unapologetically Claret styling, a fully rounded palate with red and purple, cocoa infused fruit, bramble, tobacco and puckering, cassis flavoured acids.
From Victoria's
Heathcote
No excuse for not taking this one out to dine. Fully fragrant with ham, blackcurrant and strawberry. Intense weight of red and black fruit, the palate simply quivers to an alchemy of coffee and dusty clovey oak, assuaged by caresses of eucalypt and cherry ripe, it's tannins so smooth they frame the wine like polished ebony.
From New Zealand's
Wellington Martinborough
A concentrated core of earthy tannins, sharply focused and edifying, black cherry and boysenberry fruit on the palate, anise and red liquorice, swathed under some of the most refined French oak.
From Victoria's
Alpine
Luscious red, richly layered like a torte of liquered fruits, shaves of chocolate, creamy oak and plum.

From Victoria's
Rutherglen
Honeycomb and oak, sweet and dry candied appley pork, rancio and raisins, walnut and praline. The most highly perfumed nectar in extremely tiny, very precious amounts.
From South Australia's
Barossa McLaren Vale
Devastatingly proportioned, remarkable integration of oak with fruit and cherry acids, the hotness of it's perfume conjoined with ripe suggestions of plum and pepper, moccha and currant, cigarbox and soil.

McLaren Vale
The bouquets here can't wait to get out of the bottle, a pandora's box (in a good way) of intoxicating fruit. A mouthful of winegums and jujube, raspberry, vanillan and spice.
From South Australia's
McLaren Vale
Big bold intense bouquets bordering on vapours of wildly aromatic plum and cassis-like fruit, heady flavour profiles, extraordinary length, and tannins that are so luxuriant you feel that you can suck on them like some sort of treat. One of Australia's very best.

Tumbarumba, Coal and Rokeby
This is one of those good all Chardonnays that serves to remind us how things inevitably come around 360°. It's layers of wafer and grapefruit could easily place it squarely within the post modern Adelaide Hills movement, whilst it's waxy oily phenolics might position it right up there with some classy contemporary stars around the Margaret River. Time waits for no one, drink.

Margaret River
Layered with flavours just like a cake it seems, mint and maraschino, chocolate sponge doused in kirsch, piquant sour cherries, currants and clove, assignations of olive and pepper spice, cedary oak and velvet tannins, all the right goods in fine form.
